 Our people

  • John Robson
    John qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1982. Extensive estate management experience dealing with both Settled Land Act and private Estates. Valuation work including commercial property and experience in acting on behalf of clients in arbitrations and Court both on valuation and rural technical matters. Previous Commodore of Ullswater Yacht Club, he enjoys dingy racing and also flying microlight aircraft.
  • Julie Liddle
    Julie qualified in 2002 and specialises in all landlord and tenant arrangements along with property management and valuation. She negotiates option agreements, has a particular interest in rural planning and is a qualified Arbitrator. Julie is a fanatical Sunderland AFC supporter and holds a private pilot’s licence. Julie is a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (FAAV) and sits on their Property Committee.
  • Robert Morris-Eyton
    Robert joined us in 2018 as a consultant chartered surveyor, bringing more than 30 years of experience to his role. Along with dedicated dairy, sheep and construction knowledge, Robert specialises in farm tenancies, partnership issues, utility claims and commons-related issues on agricultural land. Robert is also a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (FAAV).
  • James Pyrah
    James qualified as a chartered surveyor in 2019 having previously completed a degree in Forestry and Woodland Conservation and qualified as a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (FAAV) in 2018. He undertakes a wide variety of work including private client work, overseeing the day-to-day management of Estates, and specialises in woodland management and ArcGIS mapping systems. Originally from Nottinghamshire he has a love of outdoor activities including sailing, skiing and fell walking.
  • Tomos Davies
    Tomos rejoined us in 2017 having previously completed a student work placement year with the firm during his university studies. He qualified as a chartered surveyor in 2019. Tomos holds a BSc in Rural Enterprise and Land Management from Harper Adams University. Originally from Denbighshire in north Wales he has a keen interest in history and politics. In his spare time, he enjoys shooting, fishing and badminton.
  • Edward Adams
    Edward joined us as a student surveyor in 2019 and assists the team on valuations, planning, landlord and tenant issues and estate management. He is two years into a rural property management degree course at Harper Adams University and will spend a year assisting us advising farmers and landowners across the region, before returning to complete his studies. Originally from Bicester, Oxfordshire, Edward is a keen rugby player and enjoys fell walking.
  • Samantha Robson
    Samantha graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a BSc Hons in Urban Land Economics and has since worked as a management surveyor in the retail sector. Her surveying background is most useful for working with estate terriers and as accounts manager. Samantha loves a variety of sports but is most enthusiastic about hill walking and sailing.
  • Felicity Robson
    Felicity assists on CAD, producing scale drawings for planning applications and is also our technical wizz for our Mac computers. She studied architectural engineering at Heriot Watt University before travelling for a few years teaching sailing and skiing. She enjoys the outdoors, road biking and working in the countryside.
  • Ann Tyson
    Working as our executive PA, Ann is an integral part of the team who works alongside our directors to ensure the smooth running of the business. Ann is a Herdwick sheep farmer’s daughter and grew up on Cote Farm, Howtown. A keen walker, Ann spends much of her free time roaming the fells with her hounds. She is also a keen photographer.
