Ploughing ahead and looking to the future – Robson & Liddle recruit specialist Farm Business Consultant


We are delighted to announce that Andrew Jamieson, who we have previously worked with at H&H Land and Property has joined us as a Farm Consultant, covering the north east, north west and the Scottish Borders supporting farmers on a range of operational, financial and business planning matters. He joins our team to expand our offering, strengthening our range of farm consultancy services.

Andrew has 16 years of specialist knowledge of the traditional farming sector and how it operates as well as commercial planning, development and energy generation experience, which will provide an extra dimension to the overall farm services that we offer. He is well versed on the current and changing political landscape and farming policies. Andrew specialises in both the financial and practical management of farming operations and works across all sectors. His work includes Farm Business restructuring and refinancing, also dealing with succession planning and business expansion/contraction. As well as this he offers a full range of consultancy services including support with Basic Payment Scheme and Agri-Environment Scheme applications, scheme management & claims.

Andrew has worked in our core territory most of his working life and with his knowledge, dedication and skill we feel he will make a real difference to our clients businesses. Farmers are currently facing big changes – Brexit, volatile market prices and challenging weather conditions along with the current Global Coronavirus Pandemic.  Andrew’s proven track record of not only identifying issues but finding innovative solutions will be a key asset to our team as we guide farmers through this period of instability, but also great opportunity.

Julie Liddle said that Robson and Liddle have been looking to expand our Agricultural Business Specialist advice. No Farm business can afford to ignore the change in focus that is clearly here to stay, be that Natural capital, production efficiency of simply understanding the new Agricultural Act.

The opportunity for Andrew to join the team was simply too good an opportunity to miss.
